Qualifications:
- A graduate of Bachelor of Arts in Media-related, Writing and Publishing
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment and build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously (trimestral system)
- Knowledge of academic publishing standards, copyright regulations, and ethical guidelines for media production
- Familiarity with academic research methodologies, scholarly writing conventions, and disciplinary trends across various fields
- Proficiency in digital media tools and platforms, including content management systems, graphic design software, and social media analytics (Microsoft, Google Workspace, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.)
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy
Job Description/Summary
The Special Projects and Publications Coordinator manages and evaluates plans and activities for the Student Media Office, including university events and external partnerships. This role involves overseeing records management, supervising student media groups, ensuring equipment maintenance, and conducting program evaluations. Additionally, the coordinator is responsible for proofreading social media content, preparing reports, and representing the office in various activities while also acting as Officer-in-Charge in the Director’s absence.
