Job Descriptions/Summary

The Assistant Manager for Network Management is primarily responsible for assisting in the management and daily operations of the University’s comprehensive hybrid network infrastructure. This includes overseeing the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of wired, wireless, and cloud-based networks, firewalls, and network security solutions. This role involves direct supervision and technical leadership of a team of Network Engineers, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of all network services while adhering to established IT policies and best practices.

Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  2. Relevant cloud networking certifications (e.g., AWS Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer) are an advantage
  3. 2–4 years of experience in network engineering/administration, including at least 1 year in cloud or hybrid networking and 1 year in a supervisory role
  4. Strong expertise in networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, QoS, MPLS) and network architecture design, with hands-on experience in enterprise network devices
  5. Solid knowledge of cloud networking (VPCs, dedicated connections) and network security principles, tools, and best practices
  6. Proven analytical, troubleshooting, and leadership skills, with excellent communication and the ability to mentor teams
