The University encourages Lasallian Community members and stakeholders to safely and confidently raise concerns relating to violations of the University Code of Ethical Conduct, fraud, crime, public health and safety, serious breaches of University policy, or any incident that stands to put the University’s reputation at risk without fear of victimization, subsequent discrimination, or disadvantage.
The University will not tolerate any harassment or victimization and ensures individuals of protection against alleged reported offenders when concerns and reports are legitimate and made in good faith with no malicious intent. As such, if the report made in good faith turns out to be unsubstantiated, there will be no retaliation against the reporter.
Consequently, reporting does not guarantee exception or immunization for the reporter against action following his or her engagement in intentional misconduct. The University assures all members of the Lasallian community that they will be protected from possible discrimination, retaliation or victimization if they have reasonable belief that they have made any allegations or disclosures in good faith.
By upholding transparency and security, an integrity hotline program prevents and deters probable misconduct. Issues relating to integrity reporting are addressed in a formal and secure process following implementing guidelines and operating manual set by the Risk Management, Compliance, and Audit (RMCA) Office and endorsed by the Office of the President.
The program applies to all members of the Lasallian community within De La Salle University.
The integrity hotline procedure is established to enable individuals to raise concerns on misconduct, which include but are not limited to the following, except issues and grievances already covered and addressed in the Student, Employee, and Faculty Manuals:
Existing disciplinary or redundancy procedures covering alleged reported misconduct and malpractice will not influence the ongoing investigation within the program.
Identified/Confidential Integrity Report
The reporter/s may opt to reveal his/her/their identity when an integrity report is made. For this type of report, the University will respect and protect the identity of the reporter and will guarantee that it will not reveal their identity to any third party. Subsequently, this assurance can only be completely effective if the reporter/s likewise maintains confidentiality.
The only exception in the confidentiality assurance is if there will be a legal obligation to breach confidentiality. A court of law has the right to order De La Salle University to reveal confidential information relating to an integrity report.
Anonymous Integrity Report
The reporter/s may also choose not to reveal his/ her/their identity. The University will guarantee that their anonymity will be kept intact, and cannot be determined by anyone. However, this may compromise investigation and acquisition of facts if the reporter does not provide venues for further communication.
Subsequently, the anonymous reporter/s should be careful not to reveal his/her/their identity to a third party.
Concerned individuals may submit a report via any of the following methods:
