Abstract:
-A 32-channel MCU-based pulse generator capable of producing digital pulses plus a function generator are described in this paper. The first part, which is the pulse generator, is implemented using two PIC microcontrollers programmed to output 32 pulses simultaneously. It is capable of generating Binary counters, Johnson counters and customize eight-bit pulses. The second part, which is the function generator, is developed using a monolithic function generator (MFG). It is capable of producing various analog signals such as sine, square, and triangular waves with maximum amplitude and frequency of 10V and 2MHz, respectively.
