Abstract:
-This paper presents a hardware architecture of video encoding and decoding based on the H.263 video compression standard. Pipelining and structural modeling techniques are considered in the design of both the h.263 encoder and decoder. Different approaches and strategies for complex computations, as well as architectures and hardware performance are also presented in this paper.
