Please click on the instrument name for details on the instruments:

  • LC-MS (UHPLC-QTOF)
  • HPLC / GPC with VWD, RID, LS, VS
  • Semi-Preparative HPLC
  • GC-MS
Sample Submission Process

Instructions for sample submission will be provided once we have confirmed your payment.
What can we offer?

The DLSU ChroMS Laboratory offers the following:

  1. Untargeted analyses of extracts
  2. Quantitative analyses of processed samples for specific compounds (analytical standards must be provided by the client; if available in our lab, this will be subject to additional costs).
  3. Fractionation of extracts

Fees

Analyses are charged per sample. These fees include solvents, consumables, columns, and other reagents for the analysis. If the required solvents and consumables are not available in the laboratory, clients are advised to submit their own, provided they are compatible with the instruments in the laboratory.

Frequently Asked Questions

I am a high school student. Am I eligible for a discount?
Yes. The senior high school rates are applicable for you.

Do you accept raw samples?
No. We encourage our clients to perform the preliminary extraction, purification, drying, etc., necessary for their samples prior to sample submission.

Do you offer or suggest sample preparation methods for raw samples?
No. We neither offer nor suggest sample preparation methods for raw samples. We only analyze prepared samples that are ready for the instrument run. We suggest that the client review available literature for the sample preparation needed for their required analysis.

Do you offer rush analysis?
Yes. Rush analysis is available for twice the published rate.

Do you process the data after analysis?
Yes. We provide blank-subtracted chromatograms and the necessary peak information for our clients’ use.

Do you interpret the data after the analysis?
For GC-MS, we provide tentative peak identifications in the chromatogram.
For the LC-MS / UHPLC-QTOF, Analytical HPLC/GPC, and Semi-Prep HPLC, we only provide the chromatograms, peak information, and raw data (for LC-MS).

For quantitative analyses, we provide only the necessary peak information for our clients’ computations.

Can we watch the ongoing analysis?
No. At the moment, we do not allow analysis observation in the laboratory due to confidentiality reasons.

Can I personally submit my samples?
Yes. However, please give 5 working days’ notice for your visit.

If I cannot personally visit your laboratory, can I submit my samples via a courier service?
Yes. You can utilize any courier service that can cater our area. However, please take note of our office
hours.

How do we submit our samples?
After payment, we will provide the instructions on sample submission both for in-person and courier
submission. All the necessary details will be provided in the email.

Do I need to submit any documents along with the sample?
Yes. Submit only the Sample Information Form sent to you after you filled out our Analysis Inquiry Form.
Kindly furnish it and print (1 form per sample). Below is an example Sample Information Form:

Where do I find the Sample Information Form?
It is in a separate email that will be automatically generated after submitting the Analysis Inquiry Form.
