TANGING YAMAN FOUNDATION, INC.- EVELYN ANG MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

TANGING YAMAN FOUNDATION, INC. is a conduit that raises resources in support of organizations that build and nurture local communities, and is a conduit foundation, bridging generosity of countless Filipinos to serve the vital needs of our fellow men and women in the Philippines. The Foundation has signified willingness to provide scholarships for one student for each year level (freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior). The grant shall cover full tuition only excluding miscellaneous and other fees. The scholarship shall have a term of maximum four for the freshman grantee, 3 years for the sophomore grantee, 2 years for the junior grantee, and 1 year for the senior grantee.

The Tanging Yaman Foundation, Inc. has five (5) scholarship slots for AY 2021-22. One (1) for incoming freshman, one (1) sophomore, one (1) junior, and two (2) senior grantees will be chosen.

The following criteria must be met for applicants to qualify for the program:

The application is open to students from any college/degree program with exemplary grades who need financial assistance to further pursue their studies at De La Salle University. You may check other eligibility established by TYF here:

1. Scholastic requirement: The candidates applying should have superior academic performance.

2. Economic requirement: The candidates should meet the criteria specified in the TYFI scholarship form  (Please link the TYFI website in the underlined phrase https://tangingyaman.org/index.php/scholarship). 

Aspiring scholars must submit the following documentary requirements through this link.

1. Tanging Yaman Foundation, Inc. Scholarship Form (please click download scholarship form College)
2. Copy of birth certificate
3. Transcript of records from last school year attended (Freshman) or copy of grades for 2^nd, 3^rd, and 4^th year.
4. Recommendation from the principal or a teacher from last school attended for 1^st year applicants and recommendation from a former faculty for 2^nd, 3^rd, and 4^th year applicants.
5. Recommendation from parish priest or community.

6. Essay: “Ang Aking Pangarap”. Applicant can save it separately from the Application form or write it on a blank sheet and upload it to the link.

*Both the Essay and the Recommendation Letter can be written in Narrative  format.

7. Billing statement for the year or trimester being applied a scholarship for (copy of Enrollment Assessment Form and OR if paid already).

*The acceptance letter can be submitted in lieu of EAF (For Incoming Freshmen only)

8. Course curriculum or course syllabus. This can be requested from the Academic Program Officer or Associate Deans of the College.

SCREENING AND SELECTION PROCESS

1. Applications submitted will be screened based on the criteria and requirements by the donor.
2. The Office of Admissions and Scholarships shall send a short-list of candidates for the scholarship.
3. Grantees will be notified via email. Applicants should ensure active contact information stated in the application form.
