The De La Salle University Student Council, through the Office of the Vice-president for Academics (OVP-Academics), commits itself to ensure an accessible, justifiable, and mass-oriented education for Lasallians to become a resource for Church and nation. The office aims to increase the accessibility and justifiability of a robust, high-quality education system in the University, providing a stimulating and life-affirming environment that will truly benefit students' learning and eventually harness significant contributions for the society.

The OVP-Academics further commits itself to uphold the rights of students to due process in addressing academic concerns and grievances. The office will incessantly lobby for pro-student and pro-people policies in the University.
