Application Procedures
Undergraduate
- Present a copy of Secondary School Records at the College Admissions Office for evaluation.
- The College Admissions Office will inform applicant whether he/she qualified or not to take the College Entrance Test.
- If qualified to take the test, pay US $50.00 application fee (includes application form, testing and processing, informational materials)
- Present the Official Receipt to the College Admissions Office and secure the Application Form and other requirements.
- Fill out the Application Form and attach the required documents: (ONLY APPLICATIONS WITH CORRECT AND COMPLETE INFORMATION/REQUIREMENTS WILL BE PROCESSED.)
• Copy of the Secondary School Records
• Two (2) Recommendations (From any two of the following: High School Principal, Class Adviser or Guidance Counselor; use DLSU Recommendation Form)
• Three (3) 2" x 2" identical photographs
• Photocopy of the Birth Certificate or Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) and Passport - Submit completed Application Form with all the required documents at the College Admissions Office before the entrance exam date to secure the exam permit.
- Take the exam on the scheduled date.
- Get status letter (pass/fail) from the College Admissions Office on the announced date for release of results.
- If accepted, applicant will proceed to the International Center Coordinator, who will review the legal documentary requirements of the applicant. Prepare the following documents to be submitted to the International Center Coordinator:
• Photocopy of Passport photo-data page
• Visa
• Visa Extension (if applicable)
• Alien Certificate of Registration or ACR I-Card
• Annual Report Receipt
• Certificate of Recognition as a Filipino (for Dual Citizens only)
Note: For those on tourist or travel visa, submit your documents for student visa conversion to the International Center. - Upon submission of complete legal requirements, the International Center Coordinator will issue the Clearance for Confirmation of Enrollment to the applicant.
- Proceed to the College Admissions Office to confirm enrollment.
For INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS and FILIPINO STUDENTS born abroad (including DUAL CITIZENS), please get your Clearance for Confirmation from the International Center, located at LS 114. Submit your 2X2 picture, International Student Personal Data Sheet, original (for verification) and photo copies of the following documents:
- INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
• Visa Copy (first issuance) and Visa Extension (if applicable)
• Special Study Permit (SSP) (for students under 18 years old)
• Passport Validity (pages where you have your picture and details, and the latest visa stamp)
• Alien Certificate of Registration or (ACR) I-Card (front and back)
• Annual Report Receipt
• SRRV or SIRV Card (for those using Special Retirees Visa or Special Investors Visa) - DUAL CITIZENS and FILIPINO STUDENTS born abroad
• Certificate of Recognition as a Filipino
• Philippine Passport
• Foreign Passport

Graduate
International applicants applying locally
- Application form with 2"x2" picture
- Photocopy of passport
- Two (2) copies of Transcript of Records (authenticated and original copy)
- Certificate of Graduation (with degree title and date of graduation)
- Photocopy of National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) (Apply for this at the Bureau of Immigration, 3rd Flr. Main Bldg.)
- Two (2) Letters of Recommendation
- Updated Curriculum Vitae or Resume
- Personal statement containing academic and career objectives (View format)
- Photocopy of research output (for PhD applicants only).
- Two (2) pieces of 2"x 2" recent picture for the testing permit
International applicants applying outside the Philippines
- Email scanned copies of Transcript of Records of all academic qualifications (Bachelors Degree for applicants of the Masters program; both Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree for PhD applicants) to maria.lucila.pamplona@dlsu.edu.ph
- Wait for the Admission Assistant's notification regarding your eligibility to apply in DLSU.
- When you get informed that you are eligible to apply, send via courier all your admission requirements including the results of your GRE or GMAT and TOEFL or IELTS.
- Confirm the receipt of your documents through sending an email to graduate.admissions@dlsu.edu.ph.
- Contact the Graduate Program Coordinator via phone for the schedule of your interview.
- For travel purposes, a copy of the Notice of Admission will be sent to the applicant who passes the admission process.
- The accepted applicant would then be instructed to do the following:
• Pay the admission fee ($30 for regular applicants and $80 for MBA and DBA applicants).
• Take the required English proficiency exam (for both Masters and PhD applicants).
• Confirm the enrollment.
• Submit legal requirements for the visa.
• Officially enroll the program at the scheduled enrollment of the Graduate Admission Office.
NOTE: For applicants outside the Philippines, at least thirty (30) working days from the time of receipt of admission documents is required for the processing of your documents.
Important Reminders:
(a) These requirements are INDEPENDENT of legal documents requested by the International Center for student visas. For information view the Documentary Requirements page.
(b)International applicants are required to fulfill both Graduate Admission Requirements and the International Center Legal Requirements to be admitted to the university.
(c) DLSU-Manila does not release any certification of admission unless the applicant has successfully passed the entire admission process.
(d) All application should be submitted in a long brown envelope.
(e) Testing permit will be released upon complete submission of requirements.
