Validation Workshop on Design and Delivery of Urban Resilience Project to be Conducted

The research team of the project “Political Economy of the Use of Knowledge and Research Evidence in the Design and Delivery of Urban Resilience” will conduct a validation workshop on May 7, 2012 at Bro. Andrew Gonzalez Hall. The workshop will begin with a basic background of the project to be given by Dr. Arnaldo Pellini, Research Associate of the Overseas Development Institute (ODI), the project’s sponsoring agency. Also from the research team, Dr. Melvin Jabar will present a background paper, director Dr. Antonio Contreras will speak on the research results, Dr. Dennis Erasga will lead in the discussion of findings, and Dr. Robert Javier will give the synthesis.

Invited as guests for the validation workshop are representatives from the Departments of National Defense, Environment and Natural Resources, Social Welfare and Development, Health, Interior and Local Government, and Public Works and Highways; the Office of Civil Defense; local government units; the United Nations Children’s Fund; and the Australian Government Overseas Aid Program.
