Insights into Understanding Displaced 
Populations attendeesThe Social Development Research Center hosted and participated as Philippine representative in the meeting on "Insights into Understanding Displaced Populations: Training Local Actors to the Reintegration of Displaced Persons" held on November 3 and 4 at the Angelo King International Center.

The meeting was a gathering of the five local directors of the project, sponsored by the International Federation of Catholic Universities (IFCU), which is soon to be officially launched. Present at the meeting were IFCU Secretary General and Director Msgr. Guy Real Thivierge, Scientific Coordinator Soc. Pedro Nel Medina Varon, and Trilingual Secretary Montserrat Alom; representatives from India Sr. Lourthu Mary, fmm, faculty of the Department of Social Work of Stella Maris College in Chennai and Dr. Barnabe d'Souza, SDB of Shelter Don Bosco; from Lebanon, Annie Tabet, Faculté des Lettres et des Sciences Humaines, Chef du Département de Sociologie et d'Anthropologie, Université Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth; from Thailand, Dr. Preecha Methavasaraphak, Director of the Research Institute of Assumption University, Bang Na Campus; and from the Philippines, SDRC Director Jesusa M. Marco and Research Fellow Ms. Alicia B. Manlagnit.
