Postgraduate and Industrial Training in Sustainable Technology

Kick Off Meeting and Thematic Workshops

The "Postgraduate and Industrial Training in Sustainable technology Project" has its formal launch last January 23, 2006 at the College of Saint Benilde Hotel. Gracing the activity were the Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology, Dr. Estrella Alabastro, DLSU EVP, Dr. Carmelita Quebengco, the lead persons of the project partners, management team of the College of Engineering and representatives from European Commission, British Council, Department of Environment and Natural Resources and industry and academe partners.

Representing the partner institutions were Prof. Mike Purvis and Dr. Simon Claridge of the University of Portsmouth; Prof. Torsten Fransson and Ms.Marianne Salomon of the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH); Dr. Normah Mohd Ghazali and Prof. Azhar Abdul Aziz of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM); and Dean Antonio Sevillano, Jr. and Ms. Isabel Dumlao of Xavier University in Cagayan De Oro.

Planning workshops followed the project launching.
