The Ramon V. Del Rosario College of Business is a signatory of the Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME), a UN-backed initiative. The said principles encourage us, among others, to “engage in conceptual and empirical research that advances our understanding about the role, dynamics, and impact of corporations in the creation of sustainable social, environmental and economic value”, and to “facilitate and support dialogue and debate” among different stakeholders “on critical issues related to global social responsibility and sustainability.”
Keeping in mind DLSU’s mission “to be a leading learner-centered research university, bridging faith and scholarship in the service of society, especially the poor”, CBRD provides support to research programs and activities that address the following themes: responsible management education, multistream management approaches, humanistic management, ethical business practices, sustainable business practices, corporate social responsibility, corporate governance, social marketing, SME development, family business management, and social entrepreneurship.
Given the wide array of expertise in the College of Business and Economics, the following services are available.
CBRD regularly publishes the DLSU Business Notes and Briefings, and the CBRD Working Paper Series. It also helps manage the DLSU Business and Economics Review, together with the DLSU-Angelo King Institute of the School of Economics.
CBRD regularly publishes the CBRD Infographic Series, where information about relevant industries and developments are laid out in a graphic and easy to understand form.
The Center organizes public lectures by RVRCOB faculty members and visiting professors. These lectures serve as opportunities to disseminate the latest research done by our faculty members, and to engage representatives of industry, government, non-government organizations, media, and academe in a dialogue on issues affecting Philippine business.
CBRD is setting the foundations for a Case Center, the objective of which is to develop a pool of researchers and writers of teaching cases and teaching notes, which will be submitted to business case journals or compiled into case books that can be used in business and management classes in Philippine colleges and universities.
Sponsoring large meetings/fora on issues of current business and economic interests.
