    Key Learning Points:

    • Between the 2013 nationwide coping survey wave and the 2014 wave, how have housewives changed the classification of 151 product categories among “staple”, near-staple”, “nice-to-have”, “near-dispensable”, and “definitely-dispensable”? What business-growing opportunities can be uncovered from those changes?
    • How have the 3 consumer behavior segments differed from one product category classification to another?  What business-growing opportunities do those differing consumer behavior  segments offer as one insights from one product category classification to the next?
    • Where should one look for one’s business-growing doors?  In NCR?  In Balance Luzon?  In Visayas?  In Mindanao?  How come?
    • How do housewives’ budgeting behavior at the level of the brands in each of the surveyed 151 product categories differ?  What business-growing opportunities do these housewives’ differing brand-level budgeting behaviors represent for the brand owners?

  • 2nd National Business and Management Conference (NBMC 2014)
  • Date: 17-18 October 2014

Description: The National Business and Management Conference (NBMC) began as a collaboration among the Ramon V. del Rosario College of Business (RVRCOB) of the De La Salle University (DLSU) and the University of San Carlos (USC), two institutions committed to promoting scholarly research among their respective faculty members and graduate students.

The NBMC aims to enhance the ability of faculty members and graduate students of Philippine business schools to engage in scholarly research by providing a venue for the presentation and critique of their ideas, and by providing capability-building sessions on various research approaches and methodologies. The NBMC also intends to build a community of scholars interested in doing research along the lines of responsible management and sustainable business practices, hoping that this will lead to positive research collaborations and to eventual publication of their works in various scholarly journals.

The 2nd NBMC is in collaboration with San Beda College and the University of San Carlos
