Job Vacancy: ACTION (Programmer Trainee)

Job Description: Successful candidates shall undergo a 5-month intensive training at AWS’ Center for Technology Incubation (ACTION) located at our Makati office, which covers the following courses:

  • General IT Concepts
  • Business Basics
  • Latest Technologies
  • Japanese Language

This training program is tailored to bridge the knowledge gained from the academe with the actual needs of the IT industry; and to develop new IT graduates into AWS Engineers who have balanced capability in terms of technical, business and Nihongo proficiency

Qualifications:

  • Graduating students or recent graduates of any 4 or 5-year Computer-related course such as CS, CoE, MIS, IT, ECE, etc;
  • Graduating students or recent graduates of Engineering and other Science courses such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, etc. with good scholastic record are also encouraged to apply;
  • Pref. not more than 25 years old;
  • Knowledgeable in C/C++ or Java programming;
  • Knowledge in Open Source Technologies, Web Programming, MS.Net, Visual Basic, Assembly or TCP/IP programming is an advantage;
  • JITSE/PhilNITs certification and skill in Japanese language shall be an advantage

Job Vacancy: Online Wrting Tutor

  • Candidates will be part of an Online Writing Lab to which students submit written works and receive critique from qualified specialists.
  • Writing tutors will critique essay submissions and the like from high school and college-level students.
  • The job of the tutor is not to proofread or edit the essay for the student; rather, it is to help guide the student towards appropriate revision of a written submission.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree in a writing intensive field (e.g. Literature, Sociology, and so on)
  • Knowledge and experience in all or most of the following areas: coursework, rhetoric, composition, literature, thesis writing, and creative writing
  • Strong written English communication skills (particularly when it comes to analytical thinking, grammar and vocabulary)

Job Vacancy: Senior Account Manager

Job Description:

  • Support the Brand Manager in the management of Havaianas in attaining sales goals and working on all activities related to the accounts/stores.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the brand's customer service plan that involves but not limited to interacting with customers for inquiries, complaints, and other components of good customer service on the store level.
  • Conduct store visits and implement store activities such as promotions, visual merchandising, window display, and other marketing-related initiatives.
  • Help out in the store operations from area to staff management including but not limited to training on different areas, recruitment, and other HR functions.
  • Act as mediator in terms of coordination between the brand team and accounts/retailers regarding various concerns like work permits, etc.
  • Give insights/assistance on business development and ensure all existing accounts/retailers are at par with brand positioning.
  • Execute simple yet crucial tasks related to the store on a day-to-day basis.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Management/Administration, Psychology, Behavioral Sciences from a reputable university is preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in brand management. Fresh graduates with willingness to learn, the passion for the brand, and fit with the brand’s personality are welcome.
  • Ability to lead the team and deliver excellent output.
  • Proactive and creative; has strong strategic, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • “Hands-on approach” to business; very flexible and not reluctant to “roll up sleeves” and get involved in all aspects of the business.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills; able to work well with a team.
