Lasallian Pastoral Office (LSPO)

Vision

The Lasallian Pastoral Office of De La Salle University, composed of committed campus ministers, envisions an academic community firmly rooted in the Lasallian Spirit of Faith, Zeal for Service and Communion in Mission.

Mission

Through the inspiration of our Founder, St. John Baptist de la Salle and the sharing of ourselves, the Lasallian Pastoral Office is committed to the formation of faith-driven, zealous in service, and dynamic persons of communion.

Strategic Objectives AY 2009-2010

Holistic developmental formation program

  • To deliver responsive, Gospel-based, and developmental and spiritual Lasallian formation programs to all members of community.

Meaningful faith-celebrations

  • To provide liturgical celebrations that will challenge the community of learners to witness God's love, compassion, and justice in their day-to-day living.
  • To create opportunities within liturgical celebrations where accompaniment and community support may be experienced.

Mutual Partnership and Networking

  • To promote the Lasallian core value of Communion in Mission through collaboration with LSPO-affiliated religious groups, existing small faith communities, members of other religious traditions on campus, and the local church.
  • To work closely with SPS offices in evaluating and re-aligning SPS formation programs vis-à-vis LFA framework.

Wider community involvement in the Lasallian Mission

  • To promote the Lasallian core value of Zeal for Service by providing more opportunities for volunteerism in the various formation and liturgical ministries.
  • To develop spiritual leadership among LSPO volunteers through holistic formation.
  • To promote Lasallian vocations (Brothers, LSVP).

Efficient operation and information management

  • To keep and update a complete and proper documentation of LSPO operations, programs, and projects according to the AUN-QA standard.
