DO Lecture in LPEP 2010

Student Representatives Pool (SRP)

The Student Representatives Pool (SRP) is a group of students, who would represent the Student Body in all formal hearings and summary proceedings and case conferences of the Student Discipline Board (SDB) and the University Panel for Case Conference (UPCC), respectively.

The duties, functions and responsibilities of the Student Representatives to the SDB include the following:

  • Attend the scheduled formal hearings, summary proceedings and case conferences of discipline cases that maybe assigned to him/her;
  • Study and conduct research, if necessary, for assessment and evaluation of the documents pertinent to the discipline cases as well as the evidence gathered and presented before the SDB;
  • Listen to and objectively and fairly evaluate the oral testimonies of complainants, respondents and witnesses for clarification purposes;
  • Actively participate in the deliberation of the details of the discipline cases for a fair and just decision/resolution on said discipline cases;
  • Draft the decision/resolution of discipline cases, if the need arises ;
  • Sign the written decision/resolution of the SDB for distribution to the parties concerned; and
  • Other tasks related to the items enumerated above that maybe assigned to him/her from time to time.

To qualify as members of the pool of Student Representatives to the SDB, the applicants must:

  • not be an elected or appointed officer or member of the University Student Government
  • have enrolled in DLSU-Manila for at least six (6) terms;
  • have a CGPA of 3.0 and above; and
  • have a clean discipline record.

The Student Representatives to the SDB may be given a DO Service Merit Award or nominated as the Most Outstanding Student for Discipline Leadership and Advocacy for the annual Student Personnel Services Gawad Mag-Aaral and as the Most Outstanding Student Representative to the Student Discipline Board to be deliberated by the SDB Chair, Administration and Faculty Representatives in coordination with the Discipline Office at the end of every academic year. In addition, certificate of commendation/participation shall be issued to those who would qualify.
