Alchemy Creative Communications Studio

Company Background:

Alchemy was organized in 2014 as a firm engaged in publishing, consulting, training and corporate communications. Its main undertaking is Educator Magazine, the country’s premier publication for teachers, which it acquired from its previous publisher and transformed into a teacher training and empowerment tool via the Educator 6R Teacher Training System.

Its mission is to improve communities by empowering teachers and schools, primarily in terms of improving school and student performance, but also in the key social reform areas of peace, health, environment and disaster risk reduction and management.

Through Educator and Educator 6R Training System, as well as its other initiatives in the education sector, and with its collaboration with various partners, Alchemy aims to transform Philippine schools into institutions that can provide quality educational services for Filipino students and impact on their respective communities, especially in the critical social reform areas of peace, public health, environment and disaster preparedness.

POSITION TITLE:Marketing Representative

Job Descriptions:

  • Hired individuals will be advocating the company’s social reform initiatives to potential funders, both in the public and private sectors. Marketing Representative must also have the desire and commitment to help move the whole organization forward. This position gives excellent financial opportunities based on outputs generated.
  • Successful candidates will represent the company and advocate its social development initiatives to prospective program partners and clients in order to get funding support for these social development initiatives. They will also advise management on strategic trends, needs and opportunities while they develop and maintain contacts with clients and prospective clients. They will also monitor and support the implementation of program to ensure client needs are met.

Qualifications:

  1. College degree a plus; major in marketing, management, psychology, communication arts, or other similar fields a plus (in lieu of the college diploma, candidate must prove his/her ability to perform tasks required by the job)
  2. Sales and marketing experience a plus
  3. Strong organizational skills
  4. Strong people skills; customer service or sales background a plus
  5. Strong written and oral communication skills; public speaking experience a plus
  6. Strategic thinking, problem solving and conflict management skills
  7. Resourcefulness, initiative, and innovation
  8. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  9. Strong commitment to personally champion the company’s mission and vision.

POSITION TITLE:Program Officers

Job Descriptions:

  • Will provide strategic leadership and program management in the area of education and teacher development. The Program Officer must also have the desire and commitment to help move the whole organization forward.
  • Successful candidates will take the lead in the implementation of education programs and projects aimed at improving quality of public schools, ensuring close collaboration with beneficiary communities in order to achieve program outcomes. They shall proactively support partners and beneficiary communities to ensure effectiveness of programs and projects. Each shall develop and maintain high level of rapport, mutual confidence and open cooperation with members of beneficiary communities in order to sustain a culture of accountability and strategically develop, under the guidance of the Director of Operations, programs and projects consistent with the company’s goals and program quality standards. They will also advise management on strategic trends, needs and opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Minimum four-year degree, major in education, management, public administration, psychology, communication arts, social work or other similar fields a plus
  • Experience in the philanthropic field a plus, preferably with knowledge of the principal issues, policies and trends in philanthropy and grant making
  • Experience in managing and implementing education-related programs a plus, especially in the basic education sector
  • Strong organizational skills.
