La Salle University celebrates the annual Lasallian Action Week on November 14 - 18, 2011. This weeklong activity is a joint undertaking of the Lasallian Pastoral Office (LSPO) and the Center for Social Concern and Action (COSCA) with the participation of the Theology and Religious Education Department (TRED). The celebrations of Christ Week and COSCA Week were merged into one to challenge our Lasallian community to look at our current social realities with the eyes of faith and with the hope that it will move us to act zealously with compassion and love towards our neighbors, particularly the lost, the least and the last.
The first day of the Lasallian Action Week will also be the Founder’s Day. Through the works of our Founder, St. John Baptist de La Salle, we are reminded that the life of a Lasallian is marked with a life of Faith, Service and Communion. Celebrating the Founder’s Day and the Lasallian Action Week hopefully affirm and strengthen our conviction as true Lasallians in words and in deeds.
The theme for this year’s celebration is “100 Taong Pagsasabuhay ng Lasalyanong Pananampalataya, Paglilingkod at Pagbubuklod.” Set in a Filipino fiesta atmosphere, all members of the community is invited to remember and celebrate the Lasallian life of Faith, Zeal for Service and Communion in Mission.
Live Jesus in our hearts!
