Gawad Lasalyano 2012

Gawad Lasalyano recognizes achievers and promotes excellence in the fields of leadership, sports, campus media, culture and arts, military service, discipline formation, faith formation, and community engagement.

Gawad Lasalyano is a night of recognition and honor for students, faculty, staff and other community members who are passionate about leadership excellence and community engagement.

Gawad Br. Cecilio Hojilla FSC recognizes faculty, staff, parents, alumni and external partners who contribute to the propagation of the Lasallian values of faith, zeal for service, and communion in mission by volunteering their time, talent and treasure as a formator.

Gawad Br. Alphonsus Bloemen FSC is given to the college that shows exemplary concern for peace, order and cleanliness in the University and its environment. It is bestowed upon the college that left a mark of excellence in the University.

Outstanding Project on Culture and Arts Development

Gawad Br. Andrew Gonzalez FSC honors outstanding projects in the performing arts (theater, music and dance), allied arts, cultural education, cultural conservation, arts management, cultural journalism and documentation, film advocacy, literature and other fields, carried out by students and/or faculty. The winner of this award will receive a grant of P20,000 to continue the said project.

Outstanding Projects for Community Engagement

Gawad Bishop Felix Paz Perez, D.D. acknowledges community engagement projects initiated by individuals (be they faculty members or students), academic and non-academic departments, and external community partners. It is given to community engagement activities that exemplify the values and elements of the DLSU Community Engagement Framework.

Gawad Br. John Lynam FSC is given to the student athlete who stood out among all players in any sport and one who has shown what true sportsmanship and leadership are all about.

Outstanding Student Leader in Campus Media

Gawad Ariston J. Estrada Sr. is given to the campus journalist who has shown dedication to his/her craft as a responsible journalist and as a leader of a student media group. The campus journalist keeps Lasallian core values in mind and takes craft proficiency to heart to produce outputs that inform and eventually engage the community to a meaningful discourse and action.

Gawad Col. Jesus A. Villamor


Outstanding Student Leader in Military Service

Gawad Col. Jesus A. Villamor is given to the cadet/cadette who excels in military training and has rendered exemplary service to the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC). He/she integrates the Lasallian values of faith, zeal for service, and communion in mission in his/her military training.

Outstanding Student Leader in Culture and the Arts

Gawad Leandro V. Locsin is given to the cultural arts group officer who displays leadership, develops talent among the cultural group members, and promotes the arts in the University.

Outstanding Student in Community Development

Gawad Fr. Gratian Murray AFSC is given to the student who has renders unselfish service and displays exemplary commitment for community development and social transformation.

Outstanding Student Leader in Discipline Advocacy

Gawad Br. Imar William FSC is given to the student who exemplifies the discipline and character encouraged and displayed by Br. Imar. This award is given to the student leader who initiated the most efforts to promote the importance of discipline and advocate the value of responsibility, initiative and vigilance.

Gawad Br. Acisclus Michael FSC


Outstanding Organization President

Gawad Br. Acisclus Michael FSC is given to the student leader who is the shining example of total quality leadership among organizations. It is given to the most outstanding student organization president who, like Br. Asisclus, leads others to become excellent and competent and inspires the student organization to achieve its aims and purpose.

Gawad Francisco V. Ortigas Jr.


Most Outstanding Undergraduate Student Leader

Gawad Francisco V. Ortigas Jr. is given to the student leader who epitomizes the values expressed in the Lasallian Formation and Action Framework. It is given to the student leader who, amid personal responsibilities, displays strong leadership imbued with true Lasallian values, academic excellence, and indefatigable service to the community.
