CE Department offers international seminar

In association with Computers and Structures, Inc.-Berkeley, California, the Department of Civil Engineering and the Asian Center for Engineering Computations and Software (ACECOMS) of the Asian Institute of Technology-Thailand will hold the International Seminar on Advanced Integrated Analysis and Design of Tall Buildings on June 4-5 at De La Salle University-Manila. The resource speaker is Naveed Anwar, director of ACECOMS-AIT.

The seminar is organized to provide theoretical background and practical knowledge on the computer-aided modeling, analysis, and design of buildings in 3-D using the state-of-the-art software, ETABS8 and BATS2001. The first session will provide the necessary theoretical background and the subsequent sessions will demonstrate the use of the appropriate software.

Civil and structural engineers, architects, and educators involved in the modeling, analysis, design, and construction of buildings are invited to attend the seminar.
