CED
to hold nat’l conference for ELD alumni
The
College of Education (CED) through the Educational Leadership
Department (ELD) will hold a National Conference for Educational
Leadership Department Alumni/Alumnae on April 19 and 20 at
the Conference Hall of the International Center of DLSU-College
of St. Benilde.
Vice President for Academics and Research Brother Andrew Gonzalez,
FSC will give the keynote address on the conference’s theme
“Transformative Educational Leadership and Management in a
Rapidly Changing World.” Dr. Allan Bernardo, CED dean, will
present “A Situationer on Philippine Education” while University
Fellow Dr. Rose Marie Salazar-Clemeña will talk on
“Strengthening the Soft Core of the Curriculum.”
Inaugural lectures will also be held during the occasion.
ELD Chairperson Dr. Roberto Borromeo, holder of the Br. Andrew
Gonzalez, FSC Distinguished Professorial Chair in Educational
Management, will share his insights on the “Vision-Mission
Statement: Review and Validation of a Process and Content
Framework.” on April 20, 8:45 to 10 a.m.
On the other hand, Associate Professor Dr. Flordeliza Reyes,
holder of the Don Francisco Ortigas Distinguished Professorial
Chair for Teacher Training for CED, will speak on the “Problems
of Neophyte Teachers: Connecting Pre-Science Preparation and
Beginning Years of Teaching” from 1 – 2:30 p.m. on the same
day.
During the conference, a reorganization of the ELD Alumni
Association and election of Alumni Association Officers during
the conference.
