Graduate Studies in Theology at Ewha University

Ewha Woman’s University in Seoul is offering a new program on Theological Education for Asian Women and is calling for nomination of candidates.

The program offered by the Ewha Institute for Women’s Theological Studies is designed for Asian Christian women to develop their own theological thinking, to build solidarity among Asian women in the field of feminist movement, environmental movement or non-government organization (NGO), and to practice their leadership in church and society.

Sponsored by the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia, the program is open to members of Asian countries. The participants will have four semesters to complete the course, which will feature lectures by prominent Asian theologians and scholars. Each semester is comprised of two weeks of intensive course work. The first semester will be held from June 24 to July 5 this year.

The participants will be entitled to free tuition, room and board, and traveling cost. Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college and working experience in religion. Fluency in English is required.

Those interested must submit via mail or e-mail their complete application requirements by February 28. Results will be announced in March. Those interested may get an application form from Sonia Casabuena of VPAR Office.
