Studies in Theology at Ewha University
Ewha
Woman’s University in Seoul is offering a new program on Theological
Education for Asian Women and is calling for nomination of
candidates.
The
program offered by the Ewha Institute for Women’s Theological
Studies is designed for Asian Christian women to develop their
own theological thinking, to build solidarity among Asian
women in the field of feminist movement, environmental movement
or non-government organization (NGO), and to practice their
leadership in church and society.
Sponsored by the United Board for Christian Higher Education
in Asia, the program is open to members of Asian countries.
The participants will have four semesters to complete the
course, which will feature lectures by prominent Asian theologians
and scholars. Each semester is comprised of two weeks of intensive
course work. The first semester will be held from June 24
to July 5 this year.
The participants will be entitled to free tuition, room and
board, and traveling cost. Applicants should have a bachelor’s
degree from an accredited university or college and working
experience in religion. Fluency in English is required.
Those interested must submit via mail or e-mail their complete
application requirements by February 28. Results will be announced
in March. Those interested may get an application form from
Sonia Casabuena of VPAR Office.
Internship Applications for this Summer
David
C. Lam Institute for East West Studies is asking for internship
applications for this summer. The Institute has 28 member
institutions from China, Europe, and America and runs various
programs. More information about EWI can be found at its web
site www.lewi.org.hk.
The internship would provide housing and some living allowance.
Applicants should have administrative capability and should
be proficient in English. Those interested can write to Br.
Andrew Gonzalez, FSC, Vice President for Academics and Research
on or before February 10.
