Salle ties up with 100 companies for Job Expo 2002
La Salle University-Manila will hold its annual job fair dubbed
Job Expo 2002 on February 5-8 at the Sports Plaza, with about
100 companies from various industries participating. Organized
by the Office of Career Services (OCS), the job fair expects
to record an average daily recruitment of 50 applicants.
Among the participating companies are: Accenture, PGI/Unocal,
Union Bank, NEC Telecom, United Laboratories, Security Bank,
E-Telecare, Pilipinas Shell, Procter & Gamble, L’Oreal
Philippines, Petron Corporation, Kraft Foods Phils., Dole
Asia, PLDT, Lexmark, People Support Phils., International
Exchange Bank, Soluziona Phils. (formerly Iberpacific), Intel
Philippines, Solid Cement, Sunlife Asset Management, Unilever
Philippines, and Volvo.
There will be extensive recruitment as companies represent
various sectors, from manufacturing to service-oriented industries.
The Social Security System will also give out SSS numbers
to graduating students.
A series of company talks will be held during the week to
give students the opportunity to interact with company representatives
and to know more what these companies offer, including their
application and hiring procedures.
OCS has also set up mock interview sessions in which invited
HR practitioners will interact and evaluate the performance
of the students in their interviews.
