professor gets TOYM award

Professor Josiah Go is one of this year’s TOYM (Ten Outstanding
Young Men 2001) awardees. Her Excellency, President Gloria
Macapagal-Arrroyo will personally hand the award to him, along
with the nine awardees, at the Malacañang Palace on
December 11.
Recognized for his outstanding achievement in business education,
Go’s pioneering efforts in network marketing were acknowledged,
considering the importance of education in the formation of
business leaders and entrepreneurs.
Given annually by the Philippine Jaycees, the TOYM award recognizes
young men and women whose contributions in various fields
have not only been exemplary, relevant and inspiring, but
have also made an impact on the Philippine economy and on
the members of society.
An alumnus of De La Salle University-Manila, Go graduated
in 1982 with the degree of Bachelor of Science Major in Management
(BSC-M). As a student leader, he was awarded a gold medal
for Outstanding Leadership in Community Development.
Go is also a trainer and consultant for the specialized field
of marketing and sales strategy. He has been tapped over 200
times to help senior and top-level management in various industries
of both local and multinational corporations.
Aside from being a much sought-after speaker in professional
associations, non-government organizations, and schools, Go
is a widely read author of marketing reference books with
Philippine setting.
