CREM shares expertise with public school teachers

De La Salle University-Manila’s Center for Educational Multimedia (CREM) shared its expertise on instructional technology for the benefit of public school teachers during the two-day training workshop designed to help them acquire the production and pedagogical skills in the design and creative use of various instructional technologies for effective teaching.

Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Makati-Bonifacio Chapter, selected public school teachers from elementary and secondary levels in the Rotary District 3830 were trained to gain the necessary presentation skills in order for them to be dynamic communicators in the classroom.

CREM Associate Director Nenita Habulan facilitated the seminar-workshop, guiding the teachers through the rudiments of Educational Technology and its practical application. Habulan showed the procedural approach to the effective application of media and technology in the classroom.

The seminar culminated with a transparency-making workshop, where the teachers produced a set of visual transparencies that they can use for specific lessons. They also presented a lesson plan reflecting the effective integration of different instructional technologies.

Gracing the seminar was Rotary District Governor Ernesto Salas who gave the welcome address.
