It’s
hip to be here at DLSU-M
It’s
hip to be here! That’s the message sent loud and clear to
the junior and senior honors classes of De La Salle Santiago
Zobel School (DLSZ) and La Salle Green Hills (LSGH).
The
Marketing Communication Office (MCO) of De La Salle University-Manila
launched an early intervention program dubbed Hip to be Here
(or H2bH) on August 21-23. The program aggressively promotes
the University and its academic programs and courses to top
junior and senior students of these La Salle schools.
On its first day, the MCO team set up an exhibit and showed
a flash presentation of the H2bH program to a crowd of junior
and senior honors students. Bombit Largoza, vice chair of
the Economics Department and an alumnus of DLSZ, and Star
Scholars Grant Cheng and Carmela Sogono, also a DLSZ alumna,
gave talks.
On August 22-23, the MCO team hosted, together with the Office
of Student Activities, campus tours for the two top sections
of the LSGH seniors class. Aside from the flash presentation,
Dr. Elmer Dadios and some graduate students held an exhibition
game of the champion soccer robots. Henry Atayde, assistant
vice president of System Development and Alumni Affairs, Lester
Cavestany, Physics Department faculty, and Star Scholars Carlo
and Ramon Rubio were on hand to speak about their Lasallian
education.
