Online Subscriptions: DLSU-M’s newest library service

To advance DLSU-Manila’s research efforts, the University Library recently acquired five online subscriptions, namely Computer Select, the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) Digital Library, ProQuest Applied Science and Technology Plus, Wilson Web Reader’s Guide Full Text, and ProQuest Digital Dissertation Abstracts.

Library Director Perla Garcia said both the faculty and students should try their hand at the online subscriptions as these resources cover a wide range of disciplines and provide the latest information from around the world.

Computer Select gives access to the world’s top 200 technology publications. To access it, get the user ID and password from the librarian at the Information Reference Section or email libaed@mail.dlsu.edu.ph

The ACM Digital Library offers publications about the world’s leading thinkers in computing and information technologies. It can be accessed through the internet terminals within the campus or at the website http://www.acm.org/dl/. ProQuest is especially designed for engineering students and professionals.
It can be accessed at the website http://proquest.umi.com/pqdweb

The Wilson Web Reader’s Guide Full Text provides access to general interest periodicals published in the USA and Canada. For user ID and password, see the librarian at the American Studies Resource Center at the Library’s ground floor. ProQuest Digital Dissertation Abstracts contain millions of entries representing the work of 1,000 graduate schools and universities.
