ComArts student wins journalism award

Aileen Ang, a graduate student in communication arts at DLSU-Manila, won the first honorable mention at the recent 10th Annual Science and Technology Journalism Awards. An alumna from the College of Liberal Arts, Ang was cited for an article she wrote on osteoporosis for the Philippine Star.

Held at the National Power Corporation (NPC) head office, the awards were sponsored by the Philippine Press Institute, Philippine Geothermal Inc., and NPC. The screening committee went over 2,000 articles on science and technology in local publications last year.
