delegation visits DLSU-Manila
A
delegation from De La Salle Institute (DLSI) in Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia will be in the campus today, March 5, to pay a courtesy
call to DLSU Systems President Brother Rolando Dizon, FSC.
Their itinerary will include a tour of the campus and briefings
with administrators of the Computer Science and Business Management
Department.
The visitors aim to learn about the computer degree programs
and computer set-up in the Manila campus to get ideas on improving
their Computer Department. At the same time, they hope to
learn more about the College of Business and Economics for
their proposed diploma/bachelors program. They also seek to
form a regional link through DLSU-Manila’s Alumni Association.
Headed by Brother Andrew Loke, the delegation is composed
of DLSI administrators Mr.&Mrs. Tan Sri Chan, Dr. & Mrs. Augustine
Ong, Mr. & Mrs. Cyril Tan Pinso and Datuk Terence Choong.

students win in inter-university quiz contest
Industrial Engineering students Joel Bugay, Mark Go, Joseph
Hui, Aileen Lomeda, Cristina So, and Natalie Tan won 2nd place
in the 13th Annual IE Inter-University Quiz. The contest was
held on February 16 at the William Shaw Little Theater. A
total of 14 schools joined in this year’s contest.
On the other hand, Benson Calacday, Reginald Ruiz, Darlene
Uy, Serge Victorino, and Annette Young won 3rd place in the
11th inter-collegiate OR quiz. The contest was held on February
24 at the National Engineering Center of the University of
the Philippines Diliman. Eight schools participated in the
said event.
