8% salary increase for DLSU-Manila employees
approved
The DLSU Multisectoral Committee Meeting on Budget recently
approved the across the board salary increase of eight percent
for all DLSU-Manila employees without discrimination.
The signing was held in a luncheon meeting at the Café Adriatico,
Malate last February 20.

In
a Memorandum of Agreement signed by the Committee, an average
increase of 7.75 percent for tuition was also approved. It
was agreed that there will be an increase of tuition of 6.6
percent for upperclassmen and 11.4 percent for incoming freshmen
effective SY 2001-2002.
Representatives from the various sectors were Executive Vice
President Dr. Carmelita Quebengco for the Administration,
Dr. Aurora Trance for the Faculty Association, Eric Musngi,
for the Parents of University Studen, Student Council President
Jolina Mallari for the student body, and Baylon Bañez for
the DLSU Employees Association. Also present during the signing
were Dr. Wyona Patalinghug, VP for Academics, Economics Department
faculty Alfonso Alba, and other members of the DLSU Employees
Association and Faculty Association.
