In a show of great Lasallian
pride and animo, some 2,000 students, faculty, alumni, and
friends joined in the celebration of the University Athletic
Association of the Philippines (UAAP) victories dubbed, “The
Ultimate Animo Party,” last October 11 at the Amphitheater
and Sports Plaza.
The Lasallian community celebrated the varsity teams’ victories
in the first half of the annual inter-school athletic meet,
including a grand slam championship for the men’s basketball
team, a back-to-back title for the women’s basketball team,
a back-to-back championship for the men’s chess team, and
a first time championship title for the men’s table tennis
team.
The celebrations kicked off with a Thanksgiving Mass held
at the Chapel of the Most Blessed Sacrament. This was followed
by a motorcade along Kalaw-Roxas Boulevard-Vito Cruz.
At 6 p.m., the revelers had a salo-salo at the Marian Quadrangle,
and watched a program hosted by Studio 23 at the Amphitheater.
The champion teams then led the Lasallian community for a
bonfire at 8 p.m. A dance party followed at the Sports Plaza.
