Accountancy faculty attend Asian AAA Conference

Dr. Teresita Nadurata and Ma. Gina Manaligod, chair and vice chair of the Accountancy Department, respectively, attended the inaugural world conference of the Asian Academic Accounting Association in Singapore from August 28 to 30.

Manaligod presented her paper, “An Evaluation of the Accountancy Program of De La Salle University,” in the research forum of the conference.

Nadurata, on the other hand, chaired one of the concurrent sessions titled, “Disclosure”. There were about 150 conference participants coming from different colleges and universities in Asia.

Religious Education faculty facilitates seminar on teaching strategies

Dr. Natividad Pagadut of the Religious Education Department facilitated a seminar-workshop on “Inner Creativity and Philosophy in Methodology and Teaching Strategies and the Art of Questioning” participated in by 162 teachers of the Manila Archdiocese and Parochial Schools Association (MAPSA) last August 22 at St. Anthony School in Malate, Manila. She was invited by Msgr, Gerry Santos and Sister Pat Botrielle, SJA.

Pagadut will handle a similar seminar for educators of San Juan de Dios Hospital on September 15.

Faculty joins GA of catechists

Ma. Luisa Lacson, program director of DLSU Catechetical Center, participated in the First Regional General Assembly of about 400 catechists of the Archdiocese of Laoag at St. William Shrine in Laoag City during the DLSU Catechists’ Jubilee Pilgrimage last June. The pilgrimage theme was “Praying the rosary for peaceful and faith-filled Philippines and the world.”
