Lasallians win in National Marketing Week competitions
The Junior Entreprenuers’ Marketing Association of De La Salle University-Manila recently won in various competitions during the National Marketing Week celebration from July 24 to 30 held at the Glorietta Activity Center.
Marketing students Jolina Mallari, Jett Manio, and Glenn Garcia bagged first place in the jingle-writing contest while advertising management major Edward David bested other participants in the poster-making contest.
Meanwhile, Joy Alano, Enrae Cariño, Cindie Cheng, Glenn Garcia, Dominic Lorico, Bryan Ocampo, Chester Ocampo, Carissa Ortigas, Chrissie Mata, Neil Solomon, Mark Tiu, and Anna Valdez won bronze medal in the ad and promo competition with their Sony entry.
DLSU-Manila emerged overall first runner-up in the meet that was participated in by more than 20 schools in Metro Manila and provincial areas. Central Luzon State University retained the championship while University of Santo Tomas was adjudged third overall.
Aside from the competitions, the National Marketing Week featured events marketing and public seminars by experts in the field. Dr. Leonardo Garcia, Jr., Marketing Management Department (MMG) chair, was the speaker on “Incentive Marketing” and Benison Cu, Academic Linkages Office director and MMG faculty discussed “Services Marketing”. The annual celebration is spearheaded by the Philippine Marketing Association.
