Guidelines for Scheduling Classes in Computer Laboratories
Computer Laboratory Reservation Guidelines
Note: This guide is only applicable when making reservations for computer laboratories under the Information Technology Services (ITS) Office: L212, L229, L320, L335, V103, V301, V208A&B, J212, G302A&B, G304A&B, G306A&B, G404, Y602 & STRC314.
Computer Laboratory Reservation must be made at least one (1) week in advance.
For Computer Courses or Subjects
For computer courses or subjects that require the use of a computer laboratory as supplement to the course outline, follow these steps:
- Notify ITS of the desired computer laboratory to be reserved at least a week in advance through the Online Computer Laboratory Reservation facility of the Computer Lab Management Team web site.
- Requestor will be sent a notification by the Computer Lab Management Team through electronic mail (e-mail) within two (2) working days after reservation was made.
For Non-computer Courses or Subjects
For pure lecture courses or subjects that require the use of a computer laboratory as supplement to the course outline, follow these steps:
- Notify ITS of the desired computer laboratory to be reserved at least a week in advance through the Online Computer Laboratory Reservation facility of the Computer Lab Management Team web site.
- Requestor will be sent a notification by the Computer Lab Management Team through electronic mail (e-mail) within two (2) working days after reservation was made.
- Pay the required Reservation Fee of Php60 per hour per PC terminal per student. (e.g. if there are 30 students in the class that will use a computer laboratory for an hour, pay Php1,800 [30 x Php60]).
NOTE: *The fee excludes printing fees.
* A minimum of five (5) users are required to reserve a computer
laboratory.
If the minimum number is not met, the requestor may pay the required minimum reservation fee to reserve the laboratory.
Payment procedures:
- Get Payment Slip from the Computer Lab Management Team at G305.
- Pay the amount indicated on the slip at the Accounting Office.
- Keep the yellow and white copies of the Official Receipt.
- Present the yellow copy of the Official Receipt to the Laboratory assistant on duty upon entering the reserved computer laboratory.
Trainings, Seminars or Workshops
- Non-Profit Training/Seminar/Workshop with Lasallian Participants
For a non-profit training, seminar or workshop organized or sponsored by the university, a student organization, or a department with Lasallian participants, please follow these steps:
- Accomplish a Computer Laboratory Reservation Form duly signed by authorized signatories. Request forms without authorized signatures will not be honored.
- The approved Computer Laboratory Reservation Form shall be handed over to the Requestor.
- Present Requestor’s Copy to the laboratory assistant on duty upon entering the reserved computer laboratory.
- A Non-Profit Training/Seminar/Workshop with non-Lasallian Participants
For a non-profit training, seminar or workshop organized or sponsored by the university, a student organization, or a department with non-Lasallian participants, please follow these steps:
- Write a formal letter addressed to the Vice Chancellor for Academics requesting for the use of a computer laboratory for a non-profit training, seminar or workshop with non-Lasallian participants.
- Upon approval by the Vice Chancellor for Academics, accomplish a Computer Laboratory Reservation Form duly signed by authorized signatories, together with the approved letter. Request forms without authorized signatures will not be honored.
- The approved Computer Laboratory Reservation Form shall be handed over to the Requestor.
- Present Requestor’s Copy to the laboratory assistant on duty upon entering the reserved Computer Laboratory.
- A Profit Generating Training/Seminar/Workshop with Lasallian Participants
For a profit generating training, seminar or workshop organized or sponsored by the university, a student organization, or a department with Lasallian participants, please follow these steps:
- Accomplish a Computer Laboratory Reservation Form duly signed by authorized signatories. Request forms without authorized signatures will not be honored.
