Br. Andrew Gonzalez Hall IT Infrastructure

CCTV
A total of 36 closed circuit television (CCTV) camera units were installed in strategic places in the different floors within the building.

New Cybernook and Computer Lab
The ITC-supervised College of Education Computer Lab in the 17th floor and the Cybernook located in the 2nd floor were equipped with 45 and 39 brand new Dell computer units respectively.

Expanded Fiber Optic Link
The Br. Andrew Gonzalez Building IT infrastructure was connected to the rest of the campus through a fiber optic link with an estimated 1,800 nodes and a one (1) gigabit per second (GBPS) speed.

Turnstile System at Br. Andrew Gonzalez Hall
The ITC-Systems Management Office (SMO) assisted RACO Haven in the implementation of the turnstile ID software on the physical turnstile devices. The software is similar to the one being used at the other gates of the University. RACO Haven was contracted by the University to install the physical turnstile devices at the gates of the Bro. Andrew Gonzalez Hall.

FSO Usability Testing
ITC-SMO collaborated with the Industrial Engineering Department and conducted a series of usability tests to assess the ease of use and effectiveness of the Faculty Scholarly Output (FSO) Module. The results showed its features which were most beneficial to users and its areas for improvement. These were used as guidelines in the improvement of the FSO.

Animo SIM
Development of DLSU WISe via partnership with Globe Telecoms in the form of the Animo SIM menu

Web Site Award
The DLSU-Manila web site was given recognition for being disabled-friendly by the National Council for the Welfare of Disabled Persons.

Online Course Profile (OCP)
The OCP is a My.LaSalle facility designed as a replacement for the paper-based Add Course Profile form used by college vice-deans and administrative assistants in submitting new courses to the Office of the University Registrar (OUR). Entries can now be validated to make the process more time-efficient.

New SMO department head
Mr. Harold P. Bautista assumed the position of ITC-Systems Management Office Department Head from Ms. Vivian C. Sy on January 2007.

Online Request for Documents
This facility allows selected Office of the University Registrar (OUR) documents (e.g. transcript, certifications, certified true copies) to be ordered online through the OUR website.

Online Payment Facility
Online enrollment in residency and online requests for Office of the University Registrar documents can be paid online through the online payment facility. As of this writing, the facility accepts Visa, MasterCard, and JCB credit cards.

GAO Process Improvement
The ITC-QAO supported the Graduate Admissions Office (GAO) in improving the GAO manual by standardizing its processes from documentation and analysis to endorsement of documents to the Office of the University Registrar (OUR).

Data-gathering for the Implementation of an Automated Processing of Medical and Dental Services
The system requirements for a Medical and Dental System (MDS) have been defined by the ITC-QAO for its design and development.

Feasibility Study on the Implementation of IT Shared Services for DLSP
A survey was conducted by the ITC-QAO to determine the feasibility of implementing an IT Shared Service for all Information Technology Centers of De La Salle.

OUR Front Desk Process Review
The ITC-QAO conducted documentation, analysis, and streamlining on the Office of the University Registrar’s front desk’s processes to develop a program that is expected to deliver faster processing of OUR’s documents.
