Guidelines for Scheduling Classes in Computer Labs

These guidelines are basically for those responsible for scheduling classes in the labs (e.g. Associate Deans or Academic Programmers).

  1. This is the basic lab allocation by college and by lab.

    COS: L229, MSCL L212: CCS V211: COE

    GSB: L229, L320    L229: CBE, COS, GSB Y602: CBE
      L320: CBE, GSB A1706: CED

  2. Maximum number of computers available for students:

    For students of all colleges:
    G302: 56 units L335: 46 units
    G304: 56 units MSCL: 36 units
    G306: 56 units V103: 30 units
    G404: 55 units V301: 36 units
    J212: 20 units V313: 31 units
    L212: 18 units V211: 47 units
    L229: 50 units Y602: 43 units
    L320: 40 units A1706: 45 units

  3. Labs can be made available from 0800H to 2100h. Labs are open depending on the class schedules and availability of student assistants.
  4. For classes that do not maximize lab use, available computers can be used by other students (for Internet access).
  5. The open lab policy is in effect only on certain labs that arenot highly specialized. Such labs NOT under this policy are J212 and V211.
