Overview
The Human Resources Development Office handles the recruitment, hiring, placement, salary and benefits administration, training and development of co-academic personnel of De La Salle University. It is also tasked to carry out labor relations activities.
Functions
- Among the specific functions of the Human Resources Development Office are:
- Plan, organize, direct and control activities and programs related to management and services affecting members of the staff
- Plan, direct and control activities related to training and staff development, specifically in the areas of values development and attitude enhancement, skills improvement and development, and career and personality development
- Formulate and revise for approval policies, rules and regulations affecting the members of the staff
- Disseminate and implement the approved policies, rules and regulations, and discipline those who are found to be violating the rules
- Evaluate and develop salary and benefit schemes for members of the staff
- Implement and approve benefits under the law and the collective bargaining agreement
- Conduct job evaluation, wage review and reclassification
- Handle labor relations activities
- Formulate, revise, and implement policies on recruitment, hiring, placement, transfer and promotion of staff; approve hiring of new staff
- Act as liaison between the University and external lawyers
