2012-2013 DAAD Scholarships for
"Postgraduate Courses with Special Relevance to Developing Countries."

The scholarship programme aims to give junior executives from developing countries an opportunity to attend such degree courses. The typical scholarship holder will come either from a public authority or state or private company in a developing country and as such be engaged in the planning and execution of directives and projects with emphasis on development policy having a bearing on technological, economic or social areas. Thus, apart from a university degree relevant to the postgraduate course, it is required that candidates have at least two years' of related professional experience in order to qualify for a scholarship.

Applications should be submitted to any of the following:

  • the German Embassy no later than July 31, 2011
  • or to the DAAD Head Office no later than August 31, 2011
  • or directly to the university no later than October 15, 2011 (some courses may have an earlier deadline)

Applications for the Spring Programme at U Dortmund should be submitted to Dr. Candido Cabrido, Jr., Dean - School of Urban and Regional Planning, UP Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines.

Please note that for many courses, aside from the official DAAD application form, the universities' own forms should also be handed in (see details in the course description). Applications received after the deadline cannot be taken into consideration any more.

Applications are also welcomed from professionals with personal financial resources, from those who are funded by their government agencies or companies, or from those who are recipients of financial support from international sponsoring organisations.
