2012 Australia Awards


The office of the Executive Vice President for External Relations and Internationalization is pleased to inform the DLSU academic community about the opening of the 2012 Australia Awards. The awards are scholarships, which provide opportunities for current and future Filipino leaders to further their education, enhance their leadership skills and build their professional and personal networks. The Awards aim to promote knowledge, education links and enduring ties between Australia and its neighbours.

For the 2012 academic year, two types of Australia Awards will be available namely:

  • Development Awards

Aims to build individuals' leadership skills and equip them to contribute to the development of the Philippines. These awards are targeted at priority development areas namely: basic education, social protection, peace and development, disaster risk reduction and management, climate change adaptation, organizational development, trade, foreign relations, and pandemics. Successful candidates will be awarded an Australian Development Scholarship, while exceptional candidates will also be eligible to compete for the Australian Leadership Awards Scholarship, which offer additional opportunities to enhance leadership skills and networks.   • Endeavour Awards

Australia's internationally competitive merit-based scholarships. These awards provide opportunities for individuals to undertake post-graduate study, research, professional development activities, and vocational education training in any academic field in Australia. Complete information and details about the Endeavour Awards may be obtained from the following website: www.AustraliaAwards.gov.au.

Complete application documents must be received no later than June 30, 2011.
