COSCA Mission Vision

Mission

As a Social Action Center of DLSU-Manila, COSCA shall:

Facilitate a process of social consciousness raising and social transformation. Initiate, coordinate community development, social issue advocacy and disaster management efforts.

Vision

COSCA catalyzes a liberating education that is responsive to the realities of the marginalized sectors and the youth at risk that contributes to social transformation.

Core Values

In pursuing its mission, COSCA shall adhere Christian values as inspired by the charism of St. John Baptist De La Salle:

Goals

In pursuing its mission, COSCA aims:

  • A Lasallian community that activiely particiaptes in social and strutural transformation.
  • A Self Reliant, sustainable, productiive Community

COSCA Objectives

  • To challenge the members of the University to examine their social responsibilities in the light of the Christian faith.
  • To develop the awareness of all the members of the academic community of problems and issues that abound in the country today. It encourages members of the University to analyze these problems and to come up with appropriate recommendations and plans of action.
  • To challenge members of the academic community to share their skills and resources in providing assistance to outside groups, especially to those from the lower-income strata.
