Wireless Network Card
The University Library now offers wireless access to the University's
computer network and the Internet from its second and fourth floor
reading areas using a Wireless Network Card that can be installed in
their laptop computers.
Who May Borrow the Wireless Network Card
Only De La Salle University-Manila students, faculty, and employees
holding a valid university identification card may borrow wireless
network cards.
Policies on Borrowing the Wireless Network Card
- The wireless network access service is only offered to patron
who has their own laptop computer. The laptop should be compliant
with the IEEE 802.11b standard.
- The wireless network card should only
be used inside the premises of the library building.
- Due to limited
number of wireless network card, borrowing is on a first-come first-served
basis for a maximum of 4-hours.
- Borrowers are encouraged to use
battery run laptop computers due to limited electrical outlets
at the designated reading areas on the 2nd floor and 4th floors.
- The University Library staff will assists users in installing
the wireless network cards software on the user’s laptop at Room
203.
- The wireless network card is the responsibility of the user
signing for it.
- Amount of lost card will be shouldered by the user.
Borrowing Procedure
- The borrowing of Wireless network card is done at room 203, second
floor of the library building.
- Valid ID is left at Room 203 as the
wireless network card is borrowed.
- Due to limited number of wireless
network card, borrowing is on a first-come first-served basis for
a maximum of 4-hours.
- The network card is to be returned to the same
room after use.
