Wireless Access
The University Library now offers wireless access to the University's computer network and the Internet
from its second and fourth floor reading areas using a Wireless Network Card that can be installed in
their laptop computers.
Only De La Salle University-Manila students, faculty, and employees holding a valid university identification
card may borrow wireless network cards.
Policies on Borrowing the Wireless Network Card
- The wireless network access service is only offered to patrons who has their own laptop computer.
The laptop should be compliant with the IEEE 802.11b standard.
- The wireless network card should only be used inside the premises of the library building.
- Due to limited number of wireless network cards, borrowing is on a first-come first-served basis for
a maximum of four (4) hours.
- Borrowers are encouraged to use battery-run laptop computers due to limited electrical outlets at
the designated reading areas on the 2nd floor and 4th floors.
- The University Library staff will assists users in installing the wireless network cards software
on the user's laptop at Room 203.
- The wireless network card is the responsibility of the user signing for it.
- Amount of lost card will be shouldered by the user.
Borrowing Procedure
- The borrowing of wireless network card is done at Room 203, second floor of the library building.
- Valid ID is left at Room 203 as the wireless network card is borrowed.
- Due to limited number of wireless network cards, borrowing is on a first-come first-served basis for
a maximum of four (4) hours.
- The network card is to be returned to the same room after use.
