Pathfinder :  Environmental Protection

The part of resource management that is concerned with the discharge into the environment of substances that might be harmful, and with safeguarding the beneficial uses of resources. (Concise dictionary of environmental terms. GE 10 C662 1997, Information-Reference, 2nd floor)
