Pathfinder : Creative Writing

Scope Note:

Here are entered works on "having the power to create an imaginative, original literary production or composition." (Quoted from: Creative writing : use your imagination, develop your writing skills and get published. Adele Ramet. PN 145 R35 2001)

Creative writing is writing that expresses the writer's thoughts and feelings in an imaginative, often unique, and poetic way. Creative writing is guided more by the writer's need to express feelings and ideas than by restrictive demands of factual and logical progression of expository writing. Creative writing, a form of artistic expression, draws on the imagination to convey meaning through the use of imagery, narrative, and drama. (URL: http://uwp.duke.edu/wstudio/resources/genres/creative_writ.pdf
