Pathfinder - Terrorism

Scope Note:

“The unlawful use of threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons”(Source: Encyclopedia of Terrorism. The meaning of terrorism has evolved through the years. It has been defined in different ways. Many of the definitions embrace the following elements: “the method (violence), the target (civilians or the government), and the purpose ( to instill fear and force political or social change)” (Source: Encyclopedia of Terrorism.
