Membership
Types and Fees
INDIVIDUAL
Regular Members - those who hold bachelors and/or masters degree from a library school or are majors in library/information science from a university, college, or technical school of recognized standing and currently employed in academic and research libraries.
Fee: P 150.00
Associate Members - LIBRARIANS who are not connected with academic or research libraries but are interested in becoming members of the Association; former regular members who are no longer connected with academic or research libraries but are interested in continuing their membership in the Association.
Fee: P 150.00
Honorary Members - shall be conferred by the Board upon recommendation of the membership committee to retiree-librarians who were former members of the Association and/or have contributed to academic librarianship in the country in general.
Fee: Exempt
INSTITUTIONAL
Institutional Members - institutions and/or organizations maintaining academic and research libraries and interested in supporting the purpose and objectives of the Association. The representative of an institutional member shall be designated upon payment of its membership due and shall have the rights and privileges of a regular member provided he meets any of the qualifications for regular membership. No more than one representative shall represent an institutional member.

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
Regular and Institutional Members are entitled to:
- VOTING RIGHTS - elect and be elected into office
- PUBLICATIONS - such as PAARL Newsletter, Directory, and Bulletin
- DISCOUNTS - in registration fee to half-day fora and selected seminars
- SERVICES - such as assistance, support, informational, mentoring, etc.
Associate and Honorary Members are entitled to: - PUBLICATIONS - selected publications such as Newsletter and Directory
- DISCOUNTS - in registration fee to half-day fora
- SERVICES - such as assistance, support, informational, mentoring, etc.
Note: Although Associate and Honorary Members are not entitled to elect and be elected into office, they may be appointed Chairs or Members of Committees.
