Collections
The American Studies Resource Center located at the ground floor of the Library houses more than 8,000
volumes of books selected from the donated collection of the former Thomas Jefferson Information Center
library in support to the American Studies Program of the DLSU College of Liberal Arts. The center provides
both print journals, audiovisual materials, and electronic information sources.
Access to the Collection
- The Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) of the collection and e-journals and other digital resources
are accessible in the computer facilities of the Center.
- The books are organized according to the Library of Congress classification scheme.
- The open shelf system is followed.
- Validated ID cards of DLSU faculty members, students and special permits issued by the Thomas Jefferson
Information Center for US Embassy officials and staff members are required to access the facilities and
collection.
- Others users are guided by the University Library Policy on Visiting Users.
Borrowing
Borrowing privileges are granted only to DLSU-Manila and DLS-PSI faculty members, students and regular
staff members.
