The Board
of Responsibles
The Board of Responsibles
is the highest policy-making body that provides institutional commitment and direction
towards the achievement of the goals of the consortium. It is composed of the presidents
of the member schools. The Chair of the Board is the over-all project administrator.
The Council
of Liaisons
The Council of Liaisons is
composed of individual institutional liaisons tasked to represent their institution in
matters concerning the various consortium activities. It is responsible for monitoring the
various activities and serves as the direct operational link between the Board of
Responsibles and the Standing Committees. It is tasked to solicit, review, and endorse
project proposals in line with the objectives of the consortium. The Chair of the Council
does the tasks assigned by the Chair of the Board of Responsibles.
The Individual Liaison
The Individual Liaison
serves as the direct operational link with the individual institution. The Liaison
prepares the appointment papers of the schools representatives to the consortium for
the approval of the president, submits the list of names to the secretariat, and
distributes them to the appointees.
The Individual Liaison
regularly keeps the presidents and committee representatives informed of all I-IC-related
activities. He/She is also tasked to encourage the regular attendance of committee
representatives in all meetings and activities.
The Secretariat
The Secretariat manages
all records and documents of the I-IC. It handles the logistics required for all
activities (e.g. meetings, conferences). It attends the meetings of the Board of
Responsibles and Council of Liaisons and, if possible, the meetings of the committees.
The Secretariat
facilitates the disbursements of funds upon approval of the Chair of the Board of
Responsibles. It prepares periodic reports and schedules consortium activities. It assists
committee chairpersons in the preparation of project proposals and reports and facilitates
correspondence between the funding agencies and the I-IC.
The Standing
Committees
The Standing Committees
prepare and evaluate project proposals. Each committee is tasked to plan, implement, and
evaluate activities in line with the objectives of the consortium.
The I-IC has eight Standing Committees
namely Committee of Admissions Officers, Committee of Community Services Coordinators,
Committee of Educational Media and Technology Heads, Committee of Librarians, Committee of
Registrars, Committee of Student Affairs Coordinators, Committee on Women, and Science
Committee.
Committee of Admissions Officers
The Committee of Admissions
Officers is composed of admissions directors and/or guidance directors who are
responsible for the admissions activities of the member schools. This committee is formed
to share and exchange materials, information, and professional experiences in admissions
requirements and procedures, and applications and testing schedules. It plans and
implements activities and projects that would help improve admissions procedures and seeks
to equip admissions staff with more knowledge and skills necessary in their respective
positions. It also assists applicants who wish to pursue degrees offered by the member
schools.
Committee of Community Services
Coordinators
The mission of the Committee of Community
Services Coordinators is to uphold the Christian values and ideals of each member school
by initiating social development programs and projects that promote a society that is
just, progressive, peaceful, united, and independent. It is tasked to conceptualize and
implement community outreach programs and projects to help depressed communities and
families in the upliftment of their economic capability, values formation/reorientation,
and political empowerment. It is also tasked to initiate projects and programs that will
help develop awareness of and commitment to social development among the students,
faculty, and administrators of the member schools.
Committee of Educational Media and
Technology Heads
This Committee is composed of the media
heads of the member schools. It aims to help improve the media collection of the member
schools through sharing of resources and activities. It prepares project proposals aimed
to further enrich teaching methodologies through the utilization of media technology and
resources. It also updates the member schools of the new developments in media technology
and conducts continuous training in media utilization among the staff and faculty of
member schools. The Committee also formulates, recommends, and implements policies,
guidelines and projects regarding access and utilization of media resources and facilities
among media centers.
Committee of Librarians
The Committee is composed of head
librarians of each member school. It plans programs and activities to fulfill the
consortiums objective of resource sharing among the member schools, such as staff
development, resources development, and other projects designed to improve library
service.
Committee of Registrars
The Committee of Registrars
is composed of the registrars and registrars office assistants of the member
schools. Formed to assure greater contact and grass-root involvement among member schools,
this Committee seeks to promote cooperation in the areas of cross-enrollment, registration
practices, and shared degree programs to enable maximum utilization of available resources
of member schools.
Committee of Student Affairs
Coordinators
The Committee is composed of student
affairs officers of the member schools. The mission of the Committee is to support the
improvement and professionalization of student affairs programs of the member schools
through sharing of expertise and resources, networking, and joint projects. It
disseminates I-IC-related information to promote mutual support among the member schools,
and sponsors training programs to develop student affairs staff trainors for their
professional growth and for effective student development. It also implements activities
that promote student development through student leadership training, student
leaders network, and joint social outreach project.
Committee on Women
The Committee
on Women aims to foster awareness of womens equal rights and opportunities
in the development of their talents and skills, potentials and capabilities; to enable the
empowerment of women in effecting change in their economic, social and political milieu;
and to encourage men to be gender sensitive and supportive of women issues. Through
projects and programs which include seminars and workshops, researches and the development
of teaching modules, the committee members strive to promote awareness of and commitment
to womens issues not only among the students, faculty, and administrators of the
member schools, but also in the society at large.
Science Committee
The Science
Committee is composed of representatives from the Science departments of the
member schools. The committee was formed to further advance development in science
education among member schools through material and resource sharing. It organizes
projects such as textbook and laboratory manuals development, module preparation, hands-on
training and other researches. Through these projects, the committee aims to fulfill the
goal of fostering collaborative work and social as well as intellectual interactions among
science teachers of member schools.
