2011-2012 Hokkaido University Student Exchange Program

The International Center would like to announce the opening of the 2011-2012 Hokkaido University Student Exchange Program. Interested parties can choose from any of the 2 programs of Hokkaido University:

  1. Hokkaido University Short Term Student Exchange Program
    1. Period: October 2011 - August 2012
    2. Designed for undergraduate students both in Humanities and Sciences
    3. Courses in English (Japanese language ability is not required)
    4. Students applying for this program are qualified to apply for the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) Scholarship (CGPA 3.0 and above)

  2. Japanese Language and Culture Studies
    1. Period: October 2011 - August 2012
    2. Must be at least 18 years old and at most of 29 years old by April 01, 2011
    3. Students applying for this program are qualified to apply for the Japan Ministry of Education and Culture (MEXT) Scholarship (CGPA 3.0 and above)

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a natural born Filipino citizen
  2. Must be at least 18 years old by March 01, 2011
  3. Must have at least completed 3 trimesters in De La Salle University during the time of application
  4. Must be a bonafide student of De La Salle University during the time of application
  5. Must have a CGPA of at least 3.0 if applying for the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) and the Japan Ministry of Education and Culture (MEXT)
  6. Scholarship or 2.5 if self-supporting
  7. Must be fit to travel
  8. Must have at least one academic trimester left after completion of the Student Exchange Program if chosen for it

Interested parties may visit the International Center located at La Salle Hall Room 114 and look for Mr. Reodel Masilungan.

Deadline for the submission of application forms is on January 26, 2011.

Chosen student for the program will shoulder: tuition and fees payable to De La Salle University, airfare, cost of living in Japan for the self-funding students, visa fee, expenses payable to Hokkaido University and other expenses not covered by the program. There is no guarantee of the awarding of the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) and the Japan Ministry of Education and Culture (MEXT) Scholarships for students applying for them.
